Kambi has been recognised as the number one sportsbook supplier in the North American market, after the multi-channel provider won two honours at last night’s EGR North America Awards in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
A panel of independent judges, officiated by professional services giant Deloitte, considered Kambi to be ahead of its peers in the two B2B sports betting categories at the prestigious ceremony, which celebrates the most successful operators and suppliers in the North American online gaming and sports wagering market.
In winning Sportsbook Platform Provider of the Year, judges gave Kambi top marks for its provision of a full end-to-end sports betting solution, outscoring competitors across key criteria including scalability and integration, jurisdictional compliance, stability and security, and commercial success.
“Kambi has a very good track record of platform scalability and tech integration,” judges commented. “The company has demonstrated how it can scale operations for major brands and integrate new brands on the back of a growing reputation.”
Meanwhile, Kambi also took home the Sports Betting Supplier of the Year award, which considers service suppliers of all types, ranking first in areas including product development, user interface and experience, and understanding customer needs.
“Kambi’s clients are running 60% of New Jersey’s handle, so picking up so many clients speaks to the company’s commercial success,” judges noted. “It is arguably the most successful sports betting supplier to capture market share in the US.”
Kambi has enjoyed a highly successful first year in the US. In August, Kambi and partner DraftKings created history when processing the first legal online wager post-PASPA, while Kambi has gone on to become the most dominant sports betting supplier in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Max Meltzer, Kambi Chief Commercial Officer, said of the awards: “Kambi succeeds when our partners succeed and recognition from the EGR judges, in the shape of these two awards, is a reflection of the fantastic growth our partners have displayed since that historic first bet last August.
“In providing exciting and relevant sports wagering experiences, along with flexible and empowering online and on-property technology, our partners are given the freedom they need to execute on their unique strategies and take their own path to market leadership.
“Coupled with an unwavering commitment to integrity and corporate probity, which has seen us develop strong and trusting relationships with local regulators, Kambi’s partners operate with confidence, safe in the knowledge they are receiving an ultra-reliable and high-quality sportsbook service.”
The award wins come after Kambi last month announced the signing of Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, the Native American tribal owner of the Mohegan Sun entertainment resort in Connecticut. Mohegan Sun has already launched Kambi’s free-to-play Sportsbook ahead of a real-money launch upon sports betting regulation.
Kambi’s recognition in the US market follows on from its success at February’s Global Gaming Awards, where the supplier won Online Sports Betting Supplier of the Year for the second year running.
